La Vigneraie, a prestigious wine shop and fine-dining restaurant in Charleroi, approached Brussels Life Web Services (BWS) with a request to completely revamp its website. As a venue where guests can purchase superior wines and enjoy refined meals in a setting that elevates their wine-tasting experience, La Vigneraie needed a website that would reflect its premium offerings.
Their key goals included:
- A Fresh Look and Improved User Experience: La Vigneraie wanted a sleek, modern design that reflected their luxury brand. The user interface (UI) had to be visually appealing and simple to navigate, while the user experience (UX) needed to be seamless across all devices.
- E-shop for Wine: A fully integrated E-shop was required to allow customers to purchase wines directly from the website, with detailed information on each wine and secure payment options.
- Wine and Cuisine Menu Display: The website needed to clearly showcase the wine and cuisine menus, ensuring that potential customers could easily view the restaurant’s wine selections and the gourmet meals they pair with them.
- Table Reservation System: A user-friendly reservation system was needed so that visitors could quickly reserve a table online for either wine tastings or dining experiences.
- Highlight of Key Offerings: The website needed to spotlight their two primary experiences: La Cave, the wine shop, and La Table, the restaurant. Each needed its own dedicated section to highlight what makes each offering unique.
- Gift Vouchers: A feature for purchasing Chèque-cadeaux (gift vouchers) was also requested, as La Vigneraie wanted to provide customers with a simple way to give the gift of a fine dining or wine experience.

- Wine and Cuisine Menu Display: Given that La Vigneraie is both a wine shop and a fine dining establishment, it was essential that their wine menu and cuisine menu were showcased prominently on the website. We created two separate sections:

- Both menus were easily accessible and visually appealing, with high-quality images that enhanced the browsing experience. Additionally, we provided an option for users to download the menus for future reference or event planning.
- Table Reservation System: For La Vigneraie, offering an easy and convenient way for customers to reserve tables was a key part of enhancing the UX. We integrated a table reservation system that allowed visitors to:
- Choose a date and time for their reservation.
- Select whether they were booking for a wine tasting or a full dining experience.

- La Cave: This section focused on the wine shop experience, highlighting Thibaut’s expertise in helping customers select the best wines for their needs. It provided detailed descriptions of the types of wines offered and emphasized the unique concept of pairing wine tastings with meals.
- La Table: The restaurant’s section emphasized the refined, gourmet dining experience. It showcased the culinary expertise behind the dishes, the restaurant’s philosophy of pairing meals with the finest wines, and provided a gallery of images from previous events and meals. This section also included links to the menu and the reservation system, making it easy for visitors to plan their visit.
- Gift Vouchers (Chèque-Cadeaux): We integrated a Chèque-Cadeau (gift voucher) feature that allowed customers to purchase gift vouchers for their friends and family. This feature was particularly useful for customers who wanted to gift a wine tasting or dining experience but were unsure about specific wines or meals to select. The gift voucher page provided various options for customizable voucher amounts, making it easy for customers to choose the perfect gift.
- Blog and News Section: To engage visitors and keep them informed about new wines, events, and special menus, we developed a blog section that La Vigneraie could update with articles and news. This feature not only served as a way to provide useful information but also boosted the website’s SEO performance by regularly updating content that included relevant keywords.
- Contact and Mobile Optimization: The Contact page was designed to include all essential information, such as location, hours of operation, and a direct link to the reservation system.
